World Premier: B&B Electronics Product
Introductions at National Manufacturing Week…

Ottawa, IL The world premier of their ESR series of Industrial Ethernet Serial Servers will be hosted by B&B Electronics in booth 4705 at National Manufacturing Week. This line of DIN Rail mount Ethernet servers will be available with one, two or four serial ports. Each port is configurable to suit RS-232, RS-422 or RS-485 serial and operates on industrial range AC or DC power.

Wireless is the word in leading edge data communication products, and B&B Electronics is there with new wireless 802.11 Wi-Fi compliant serial servers. One, two and four port versions will be available. DIN Rail mount cases and industrial range power allow easy installation in NEMA boxes.

Another product launch at the show will be the EIR series of five and eight port compact DIN Rail mount 802.3 Ethernet Switches. These competitively priced switches will decrease traffic and improve the reliability of Ethernet networks. The new copper/fiber single and multi-mode switches accept 8-24 volt AC or DC power inputs.

There will be a show-and-tell by B&B Electronics on its recent custom wireless work for a major nuclear power plant. This included an 802.15.4 wireless mesh network to transmit diagnostic serial data from 2500 horsepower electric motors to the maintenance office. In addition to avoiding the need to install new wiring, the wireless system had to be designed to work in an electrically noisy environment and meet stringent security requirements, while providing a path for future expansion.

See these new products, Sales Manager Mark Palmer, and Marketing Director Mike Fahrion at booth 4705 in the Industrial Automation section of National Manufacturing Week, March 7-10 at Chicago’s McCormick Place. Systems Integrators and Value Added Retailers will want to talk to Mark about a new B&B Electronics program in their arena. The B&B Electronics website is www.bb-elec.com.
