DIN Rail Mount Models from B&B Electronics

DIN Rail Mountable ConvertersOttawa, IL The popularity of the Interface Converters housed in DIN Rail mount cases has prompted B&B Electronics to continue to add models in the convenient cases. DIN Rail is most frequently used in industrial cabinets. These cases easily snap into place on the DIN Rail, making them conveniently added, removed and re-arranged.

Popular additions to the B&B DIN Rail line include a High Energy Surge Protector Model HESP4DR. This 3-stage data line protector uses a gas discharge tube, series resistor and transient voltage suppressor to protect five RS-422/485 signals.

An Ethernet Serial Server that converts Ethernet to Serial is also now available with a DIN Rail mount. Model ESP901 has an asynchronous serial port on one end and a 10/100Mbps Ethernet connection on the other. Model ESP902 is a similar unit with two serial ports and ESP904 has four ports. There are also several Ethernet switches and hubs in DIN Rail cases in the B&B catalog.

Most industrial cabinets have DC power available and most of these models are wide range 10-30VDC powered. If DC power is not available, B&B has a 24VDC switching power supply, Model PS5R-A24, to supplement the 12 volt model PS5R-A12.

With several years of customer satisfaction behind them, the RS-232 to RS-422 and RS-485 converters that started the DIN Rail movement at B&B continue to be used in applications all over the world. Current lop converters, data signal boosters, isolators and serial to fiber optic converters are also part of the DIN Rail line.

A novel and useful DIN Rail accessory item that has proven very popular is an adapter that accepts the wires from screw terminal devices and provides a DB connector output. This saves unfastening and refastening numerous wires from tiny terminals. Saves errors, too. Male and female DB9 and DB25 versions are available.

See the entire line of DIN Rail data communications devices on the B&B Electronics website www.bb-elec.com or in the new B&B Electronics catalog available by phoning 815-433-5100.
